Festina Lente

A neo-lambic ale that goes through both a yeast and bacteria fermentation and is then aged on oak chips and 400 pounds of Delaware peaches. This beer is very tart and complex. It is bottle-conditioned in champagne bottles.

Dogfish Head is proud to let you know that Festina Lente was awarded a bronze medal in the Belgian-style Sour Ale category at the 2006 Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado.

This beer is no longer in production, but is still available randomly in limited quantities in the Vintage Beer Coolers at Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and Dogfish Head Alehouse in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
