Dogfish’s Helping Hand has raised over $721,000 for our community through fundraising events for schools, causes, organizations, and churches. Each Dogfish Alehouse, Fairfax, Gaithersburg, and Falls Church, have contributed to this growing number. Our fundraisers are a community affair. 100% of all donated proceeds go to the various community causes and organizations. You can even watch it grow on our website with our ticker that proudly displays how much we have given so far. We want to help, so when we can, we do.
Fundraising events are hosted for an entire day (yes, lunch and dinner). At the end of the day, we donate 15% of ALL proceeds to the organization. You read that right. We want to help and feel it is part of our responsibility to be involved in bettering our community when opportunity comes asking.
The fundraisers are not the only ones who make out well. When you stop in on a fundraising day, you are not only contributing to the amount we donate but have a chance to win a prize. Many of our fundraisers have raffle prizes and auctions so you have a chance of taking home something awesome like a spa day certificate, a basket of sweet goodies, or autographed memorabilia.
Looking for a helping hand? We would be happy to talk to you about hosting a fundraising day. Its our model for how businesses can work with local volunteer groups towards helping those in need. This is our tenth year and the fundraiser calendar is busier than ever. So much so that it could take up to a year to get on the schedule. Keep in mind; it is all about having a good time while raising money for a worthy cause. Let us know what you are looking to fund raise for and we will tell you when it would be good to go. Each group brings their own volunteers and we provide the restaurant. Then you can start spreading the news (and we will say something about it too). After a day of fun, food, and drinks, we write you a check. Sounds great, right?
